The Chicago Bulls traded Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves on the day of the NBA Draft. After the trade was announced, Butler’s trainer Travelle Gaines sent out a strongly worded tweet ripping the Bulls.
Gaines wrote that Chicago has the “worst culture in the league,” that he has “met drug dealers with better morals than their GM (Gar Forman),” and he called Forman a “liar.”
The Bulls got Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 pick, which they used to select Lauri Markkanen, for Butler.
Gaines isn’t the only one who’s mad about the trade. The hashtag #FireGarPax (aimed at Forman and executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson) that was trending on Twitter in Chicago back in February when the Bulls traded Taj Gibson is picking up steam again.
Butler was at Paris Fashion Week and was even featured in a Snap with his now-former teammate Dwyane Wade about 15 hours before the trade was announced.
Wade has already picked up his player option with the Bulls for the upcoming season.
