Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has confirmed the club have received big offers for Kylian Mbappe but are instead hoping to extend his contract.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been leading the chase for the 18-year-old striker, but Goal understands Manchester City are in advanced talks to sign him in a world record deal.
However, Vasilyev insists no transfer is close and instead hopes to tie him to a new contract.
“I assure you that there is no agreement with a club,” he told reporters.
“We have very important offers for Mbappe. He is the greatest hope of world football. We’re discussing a contract renewal with him. I hope we’ll get there.”
