Did 2-year-old Princess Charlotte randomly recite a quote that her great ancestor, Queen Victoria, coined in the 1800’s? That’s the bizarre claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop exclusively has the truth.

According to the National Enquirer, the young daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton recently shocked palace staffers by channeling her long-deceased relative, who served as the Queen of England from 1837 until her death in 1901. A supposed “source” tells the magazine that after a recent playdate with a group of other toddlers, Princess Charlotte “commented to her royal helpers: ‘The important thing is not what they think of me, but what I think of them.’” These famous words were spoken by Queen Victoria in the 19th century.

Of course, it’s quite unlikely that a 2-year-old could put together such an articulate sentence, let alone one that was said a century ago by her late relative. Regardless of how absurd this story sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a royal insider, who laughed off the tabloid’s tale before assuring us it’s “not true.” Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to call out the magazine for publishing a bogus report about the royal tyke.

Gossip Cop recently busted the outlet for falsely claiming the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge refused to throw a “baby beauty bash” for Princess Charlotte and her friends. We also debunked the publication’s phony story about the royal family believing Princess Charlotte is the reincarnation of Princess Diana. This latest article from the repeatedly discredited tabloid is equally untrue.
