This summer, Readers’ Choice set out to name the best motorsports races, American air and car shows, NASCAR tracks and U.S. casinos. Our panel of travel experts nominated their 20 favorites in each category, and for the past four weeks, USA TODAY 10Best readers have been helping us name a winner by voting for their favorites each day.

While the annual National Championship Air Races in Reno every September has its fair share of airplane acrobatics, the real reason pilots come back year after year is for the racing. Six classes of aircraft go head to head on 3- to 8-mile race courses in the sky.
Best Car Show: Back To The 50’s in St. Paul

The Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul hosts Back To The 50’s each summer – a celebration of hot rods, customs and classics with nearly 12,000 registered vehicles. The event also includes live 50’s music, a flyover and a gigantic swap meet, as well as activities and games for kids and ‘tweens. This is the second year in a row that Back to the 50’s has won the title.
Best Motorsports Race: Baja 1000 in Baja California, Mexico

The SCORE Baja 1000 is a rally race from one end of the California peninsula to the other that changes configurations from year to year. Most of the time, the event consists of a point-to-point race from Ensenada to La Paz, Mexico, but a slightly shorter loop race beginning and ending in Ensenada is also a popular choice by organizers. The Baja 1000 has won the title of Best Motorsports Race twice in a row.
Best NASCAR Track: Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, N.Y.

For the second time in a row, our readers have voted Watkins Glen International as the best NASCAR venue. At one time, it was the home of the F1 US Grand Prix, and today Watkins Glen’s biggest race is its annual NASCAR date that sees its two top tier series competing on a double header weekend. The fast lefts and rights of this upstate New York track have seen more than a few daring last lap moves and the “bus stop” on the back stretch is a legendary spot for intrepid drivers to make up time.
Best U.S. Casino: Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.

One of two gambling destination resorts in Connecticut, Mohegan Sun features three casinos: Casino of the Earth, Casino of the Wind and Casino of the Sky. The three gaming floors between them boast a whopping 5,000 slot machines, 275 table games, 42 poker tables, a race book, two smoke-free areas and Sunrise Square, an area fashioned after an Asian market that offers traditional Asian table games like Sic Bo, Pai Gow Poker and Baccarat.
