Thunder guard Paul George didn’t expect a friendly welcome as he made his return to Indiana on Wednesday.

He was booed loudly in player introductions.

He was booed whenever he touched the ball – even by fans wearing Paul George jerseys.

But the Pacers also appeared to go out of their way to slight George in an introduction video. According to ESPN’s Royce Young, the Pacers aired a video that featured Indiana star players over the years. George was not included.

Sure, nobody is going to claim that Paul George meant more to the Pacers than Reggie Miller, but how could the Pacers honestly – in good faith – feature Jeff Foster in a video and not George? Foster played 13 seasons with the Pacers and averaged 4.9 points. Even if his loyalty to Indiana was admirable, the dude was an objectively mediocre player. George is a four-time All-Star.

The NBA’s pettiness knows no bounds.
